I think my experimenting with QR codes has given me a fascination for squares / sharp angles. This fascination is beginning to show through in my ceramic works as well. The picture on the left is a pentagonal vase that has some burnished (very shiny) sides, and some rough sides. I want to see how I can manipulate textures in my pit fired pieces, so I hope this one turns out well! The picture on the right is a four sided mug, the first of three identical mugs. It’s still functional, but it’s definitely a little quirky! I’m really excited about these.
